Snowboarding is one of the most fun and acrobatic sports at the games. While the events are common with some of the Skiing disciplines, the snowboard adds a new dimension to the events, with the stunts especially 'grabbing' attention.

Parallel Giant Slalom involves 2 athletes going down adjacent Giant Slalom courses (as in Alpine Skiing) simultaneously with the winner being that athlete who finishes first. Big Air involves athletes making jumps and performing stunts wherein they try to perfect their manoeuvres while also maximising height and distance, trying to stick a perfect landing. The Slopestyle, Halfpipe, and Snowboard Cross are similar (in theory) to their Freestyle Skiing counterparts, except that here, the athletes use snowboards and not skis.
